Box Score Dominique Washington collected a career-high 28 points and 12 rebounds to an 87-81 victory over Missouri S&T Thursday night in Rolla, Mo.
Washington scored 25 points in the second half on 8-of 10 shooting as the Hawks rallied from a 35-26 halftime deficit to win their first road game of the season. Rockhurst scored 61 points in the second half on 65.7 percent shooting (23 of 35).
Adam Fatkin posted a career-high 20 points and seven rebounds.
Russell Burns finished with 14 points, six rebounds and four assists.
David Wingerson came off the bench to score nine points and grab three rebounds in the second half.
Rockhurst shot 46.6 percent from the field (27 of 58) and 88.6 percent from the free-throw line (31 of 35). Missouri S&T connected on 30-of-66 field goals (45.5 percent) and 13-of-24 free throws (54.2 percent). Zach Ellis paced the Miners with 24 points.
The Hawks, 7-17 and 3-13 in the GLVC, will play at Drury on Saturday, Feb. 21.
