Box Score Taylor Skala collected a career-high 20 points, along with posting six steals, to lead Rockhurst to a 71-67 victory over McKendree Thursday night in Lebanon, Ill.

Skala helped the Hawks rally from a 37-34 halftime deficit by scoring 11 points and posting four steals in the second half. Her layup gave Rockhurst a 70-65 lead with 1:04 left. She shot nine of 14 from the field.

Lauren Meyers collected 13 points, three rebounds, four assists and five steals. Mary Dineen and Kendall Hart both finished with nine points. Laura Wilson added seven points, six rebounds and three steals.

Rockhurst shot 44.4 percent from the field (28 of 63) and 57.9 percent from the free-throw line (11 of 19). McKendree made 24-of-60 field goals (40.0 percent) and 14-of-17 free throws (82.4 percent). Jameeka Bouie and Emily Puscheck paced the Bearcats with 16 points apiece.

The Hawks, 9-13 and 3-11 in the GLVC, play at Illinois Springfield on Saturday, Feb. 14.
