Box Score A fourth-quarter rally by Rockhurst fell short at Lincoln as the Hawks dropped their first game of the season, 50-49, to the Blue Tigers Saturday in Jefferson City, Missouri.
The Hawks trailed by nine points, 48-39, with 7:01 left to play. Rockhurst went on an 8-0 run to pull within one point with 46Â seconds remaining. Lincoln made a layup with 26 seconds left to take a 50-47 lead. Marisa Lowe's layup with eight seconds left cut Lincoln's lead back to one point.
Lauren Meyers led the Hawks with 12 points, four rebounds and two steals. She connected on five-of-11 shots. Mary Dineen posted 11 points on four-of-14 shooting. Jillian Myers posted a team-high eight rebounds, five assists and two steals. Kendall Hart added five rebounds and five assists.
Rockhurst shot 30.4 percent from the field (21 of 69) and 12.9 percent from behind the 3-point line (four of 31). Lincoln made 22-of-55 field goals (40.0 percent) and five-of-18 3-pointers (27.8 percent). Zuri Hill paced the Blue Tigers with 13 points.
