Box Score Rockhurst improved its record to a 3-0 with a commanding 64-49 victory over Northwest Missouri State Saturday at Mason-Halpin Field House.
The Hawks grabbed a 27-13 lead after the first quarter and closed out the game on a 17-8 run over the final eight minutes.
Mary Dineen led the Hawks with 14 points, six rebounds and three steals. Lauren Meyers scored 14 points on five-of-10 shooting. Jillian Myers tallied 10 points, six rebounds and four steals. Haleigh Cindrich had a team-high eight rebounds and two blocks.
Rockhurst shot 33.0 percent from the field (21 of 62) and 73.9 percent from the free-throw line (17 of 23). Northwest Missouri made 18-of-50 field goals (36.0 percent) and nine-of-14 free throws (64.3 percent). Jasmine Howe paced the Bearcats with 12 points.
