The Rockhurst Hawks host the 24th-ranked Wayne State Wildcats of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference tonight at 5:30.

Rockhurst and Wayne State will be facing each other for the first time since the 1998-99 season. Rockhurst holds a 4-2 lead in the all-time series dating back to the 1996-97 season. The Hawks won the first four meetings in the series with Wayne State winning twice in the 1998-99 season.

Five players scored in double figures to lead Rockhurst past Avila, 86-54, in the Hawks' season opener last Friday at Mason-Halpin.
Mary Dineen led the Hawks with 18 points, three assists and three steals.
Kendall Hart posted 14 points. The Hawks suffered a 58-39 loss at Northern Iowa on Sunday in their last exhibition game of the season. Dineen led Rockhurst with 17 points.

Wayne State is coming off an 80-49 victory at home over William Jewell on Sunday. Sophomore center Paige Ballinger paced the Wildcats with 17 points and nine rebounds. Ballinger leads the team in scoring (26.5) and rebounding (11.5). The Wildcats are averaging 75.5 points per game. Wayne State was ranked 24th in the USA Today Sports/WBCA Preseason Top 25 Coaches Poll. Chris Kielsmeier is in his eighth season as the head coach at Wayne State.
