Logan Feldmann posted his sixth consecutive shutout to lead top-seeded Rockhurst to a 3-0 victory over fourth-seeded Cedarville in a second-round Midwest Region game Saturday in the NCAA Men's Soccer Championship at Rockhurst's Bourke Field.
Fifth-ranked Rockhurst (17-1-2) will take an 11-game winning streak into a third-round match in the Midwest finals against ninth-ranked Northwood (16-1-1) on Friday, November 20 at 7 p.m. at Bourke Field.
Kaleb Jackson opened the scoring for Rockhurst in the 37th minute. Jackson scored his seventh goal of the season on a shot from 10 yards out.
Paul Dean scored off a header near the right post in the 63rd minute to give the Hawks a 2-0 lead.
Adam Michel wrapped up the scoring with a goal in the 89th minute on a 20-yard shot.
The Hawks outshot Cedarville (15-4-2) by a 12-8 margin. Cedarville keeper Paulo Pinto stopped five Rockhurst shots, while Feldmann made two saves.
