Box Score Rockhurst ran into a hot-shooting Southern Indiana team Sunday in Evansville, Ind. The Hawks allowed 10 3-point field goals in falling to the Screaming Eagles, 75-64, for the 11th consecutive time dating back to 2007.
Southern Indiana opened the second half on a 22-9 run to take a 60-42 lead with 9:16 left in the game. The Hawks outscored the Screaming Eagles 22-15 over the final eight minutes.
All five starters scored in double figures for the Hawks.
Dominique Washington,
Russell Burns and
Adam Fatkin scored 13 points apiece.
Josh Roberts posted 11 points, four rebounds and four assists.
John Burke added 10 points. Washington and Fatkin combined for 15 rebounds.
Rockhurst shot 43.6 percent from the field (24 of 55), while Southern Indiana made 29 of 59 field goals (49.2 percent).
The Hawks, 4-7 and 0-3 in the GLVC, return home to host Saint Joseph's on Thursday, Jan. 8.
