Dineen scores career-high 34 in loss to Maryville

Mary Dineen scored a career-high 34 points.
Box Score Maryville survived a career-high scoring performance by Rockhurst's Mary Dineen to post a 75-67 victory over the Hawks Saturday at Mason-Halpin Field House. Dineen made 12-of-19 field goal and eight-of-nine free throws.

A three-pointer by Dineen with 15 minutes left gave the Hawks their last lead of the game at 45-44. The Saints went on a 10-4 run to take a 54-49 lead with 8:41 left to play. Maryville survived a late rally to secure its 12th win of the season.

Lauren Meyers posted 12 points, five rebounds, three assists and three steals. Becca Strobbe scored eight points. Jillian Myers finished with seven steals, five rebounds and three assists.

Rockhurst shot 33.8 percent from the field (24 of 71) and 76.5 percent from the free-throw line (13 of 17). Maryville made 23-of-56 field goals (41.1 percent) and 19-of-26 free throws (73.1 percent). Shelby Miller paced the Saints with 20 points.

The Hawks, 8-11 and 2-9 in the GLVC, host Wisconsin-Parkside on Thursday, Feb. 5.
