Box Score Missouri-St. Louis dominated the boards in pulling away for a 60-47 victory over Rockhurst Thursday night at Mason-Halpin Field House.
The Tritons outrebounded the Hawks 45-24 and scored 15 second-chance points. UMSL made 19 of 25 free throws while Rockhurst went two-for-five at the foul line.
Lauren Meyers led the Hawks with 12 points on five-of-15 shooting.
Jillian Myers posted nine points, four rebounds, four assists and four steals.
Becca Strobbe collected seven points and six rebounds.
Kendall Hart added seven points.
Rockhurst shot 35.8 percent from the field (19 of 53) and 38.9 percent behind the 3-point line (7 of 18). UMSL made 18-of-47 field goals (38.3 percent) and 5-of-15 free throws (33.3 percent). Alexis Lawrence paced UMSL with 17 points.
The Hawks, 8-10 and 2-8 in the GLVC, host Maryville on Saturday, Jan. 31.
