Box Score Sophomore midfielder Kristin Wolff scored a first-half goal to carry Rockhurst to a 1-0 win over Upper Iowa in a season-opening game in the Peacock Classic Friday in Fayette, Iowa. Wolff scored off a pass from Brandi Van Booven in the 36th minute.

Caitlin Winschel posted five saves to collect her first career shutout for the Hawks. She made four of her five saves in the second half. Rockhurst outshot Upper Iowa 22-9. Taylor Skala and Courtney Silberberg led the Hawks with five shots apiece. Wolff added four shots.

The Hawks, 1-0, meet Concordia-St. Paul at 11 a.m. on Saturday in the Peacock Classic.
