The Rockhurst women's soccer team will have just one match this week as the Hawks return to Bourke Field to host McKendree on Saturday (Oct. 17) at noon for Senior Day.
Rockhurst's originally scheduled Wednesday (Oct. 14) matchup against Southwest Baptist in Bolivar, Missouri, has been postponed due to expected rain in the area. The match has been rescheduled for Tuesday (Oct. 27) at 4 p.m. in Bolivar and will now serve as the Hawks' regular-season finale.
The Hawks enter Saturday's contest with an 8-3-2 overall record and a 6-3-1 mark in Great Lakes Valley Conference play, currently sitting in sixth place in the league standings. Rockhurst is looking to bounce back after a pair of road matches last week, battling Drury to a scoreless draw on Oct. 7 before falling 2-0 at Missouri-St. Louis on Oct. 10.
McKendree enters the week with a 12-2 overall record and an 8-2 mark in GLVC play. The Bearcats suffered a 3-2 loss to Missouri S&T on Oct. 7 before responding with a commanding 4-0 victory over William Jewell on Oct. 11. McKendree will face UMSL on Wednesday before traveling to Kansas City for Saturday's matchup.
Saturday's meeting will mark another chapter in a closely contested series between the two programs. McKendree holds a narrow 8-7-2 advantage in the all-time series dating back to Oct. 12, 2012. The teams played to a 1-1 draw in their most recent meeting on Sept. 14, 2025, in Lebanon, Illinois.
Saturday will also serve as Senior Day for the Hawks, as Rockhurst recognizes its senior class at Bourke Field.
Live stats and video will be available for Saturday's match, with links posted on the Rockhurst Athletics website.
