Box Score Taylor Skala scored an early goal to give Rockhurst a 1-0 victory over Washburn Wednesday night in Topeka, Kan. Skala's unassisted goal came in the sixth minute as she followed her own loose ball and found an open net.

The Hawks outshot Washburn 17-3. Skala led Rockhurst with seven shots and three shots on goal. Jessica Cook, Kinsley Fitzpatrick and Julia Bartolacci each had two shots. Caitlin Winschel collected her third shutout of the season.

Rockhurst, 3-0, opens conference action Friday night at Saint Joseph.
