Box Score Dominique Washington and Adam Fatkin posted double-doubles to power Rockhurst to a 71-65 victory over the Haskell Indians Saturday at RU's Mason-Halpin Field House.

Washington finished with 20 points and 11 rebounds. The 6-6 center scored back-to-back  layups to give the Hawks a 65-60 lead with 4:38 left in the game. Fatkin collected 15 points and 14 rebounds. Fatkin's layup with 1:39 left gave Rockhurst a 69-65 lead.

Junior guard John Burke stepped up big in the second half, scoring 15 of 16 points in the final 20 minutes. He also added five rebounds and three assists.

The Hawks shot 36.6 percent from the field (26 of 71) and sank 15-of-26 free throws (57.7 percent). Haskell shot 41.3 percent from the field (26 of 63) and 64.3 percent from the foul line (9 of 14).

Rockhurst (3-2) will host William Jewell in its conference opener on Thursday.
