Hawks fall to Bellarmine on late goal, 2-1

Taylor Skala scored her 11th goal of the season in the 70th minute.
Box Score Bellarmine scored a goal in the 84th minute to edge Rockhurst 2-1 Sunday at RU's Bourke Field. The loss drops the Hawks into a third place tie in the GLVC with Truman State with an 8-2-2 conference record.

The game-winning goal for the Knights came on a shot in front of the goal from six yards outs. Bellarmine took a 1-0 lead in the 38th minute on a 12-yard shot off a breakaway.

Rockhurst tied the score in the 70th minute on a 20-yard shot by Taylor Skala into the upper 90. Skala currently leads the GLVC with 11 goals and 24 points.

The Hawks outshot Bellarmine, 17-9. Skala and Julia Bartolacci led Rockhurst with three shots apiece. Jessica Cook, Kristin Wolff and Courtney Silberberg each had two shots. Caitlin Winschel posted two saves.

Rockhurst (11-2-2 overall) will host Drury on Friday.
