Hawks post 3-1 win over Northern Michigan

Preecy Seever led the Hawks with 13 kills and eight blocks.

Box Score Preecy Seever led Rockhurst with 14 kills and eight blocks to lead the Hawks to a 3-1 victory over Northern Michigan on the first day of the GLVC-GLIAC Crossover Friday in Aurora, Ill.

Rockhurst won the first two sets, 25-19 and 25-15. After dropping the third set, 25-23, the Hawks closed out the match with a 25-12 victory.

Katie Loescher and Morgan Rietzke each posted 11 kills. Maggie Hummel added 10 kills. Anne Hellwege collected 23 digs and Alyssa Arnold had 19 digs. Whitney Kostal finshed with 43 assists, seven kills and four blocks.

Rockhurst (16-2) will play Saginaw Valley State and Grand Valley State on the second day of the Crossover on Saturday.
