Box Score Five players scored in double figures to lead tenth-ranked Drury to a comfortable 86-64 victory over Rockhurst Thursday night at the O'Reilly Family Event Center in Springfield, Mo.
The Hawks fell to 5-9 and 0-6 in the conference with their 26th consecutive loss to the Lady Panthers in the all-time series dating back to 2000.
Drury closed the first half on an 11-4 run to take a 42-29 halftime lead. The Lady Panthers opened the second half on an 18-8 run to grab a 23-point lead (60-37).
Freshman guard
Mary Dineen led three Rockhurst players in double figures with 15 points. She scored seven points in the final three minutes to help cut into a 28-point Drury lead.
Kendall Hart came off the bench to post 13 points and five rebounds.
Becky Squiers made five-of-seven shots to finish with 10 points.
Lauren Meyers led the Hawks with six rebounds and three assists.
The Hawks shot 42 percent from the field (24 of 57. Drury, 13-1 and 5-1 in the GLVC, hit 43 percent from the field (28 of 65) and 95 percent from the free-throw line (20 of 21).
Rockhurst returns to action on Saturday in a 1 p.m. tipoff at Missouri S&T.
