Box Score Rockhurst fell short in defending its Great Lakes Valley Conference championship in volleyball. The Hawks suffered a 3-1 loss to Indianapolis in the semifinals of the GLVC Tournament Saturday in Romeoville, Ill.

Indianapolis won the first set 25-23, while Rockhurst captured the second set 25-18. The Greyhounds won the next two sets, 25-12 and 25-20.

The Hawks end their season with a 26-7 record while posting a 54-14 record over the past two seasons.

Kelsey Stratman led the Hawks with 10 kills and nine blocks. Morgan Rietzke collected nine kills and nine digs. Maggie Hummel posted eight kills. Victoria Mahl had a team-high 19 digs. Alyssa Arnold collected 14 digs and Lauren Poulicek added 10 digs. Whitney Kostal totaled 30 assists.
