The Rockhurst Hawks jumped out to an early lead on the way to a 79-49 victory over Saint Mary in their home opener Sunday night at RU's Mason-Halpin Field House. Rockhurst led 42-19 at halftime and led by 40 points, 68-28, midway through the second half.

For the second game in a row, Mary Dineen led the Hawks in the scoring column, The freshman guard scored 16 points behind six-of-10 shooting, She made four-of-seven three-pointers.

Kendall Hart posted eight points. Laura Wilson and Lauren Dudenhoeffer both scored seven points. Shauna Bauml and Allison Streich each collected five rebounds. Streich also had four blocked shots.

Rockhurst outrebounded Saint Mary 53-46. The Hawks, 2-0, host Avila on Saturday, Nov. 16 at 5:30 p.m.
