Maryville outshot Rockhurst from the outside in defeating the Hawks 72-58 Saturday at RU's Mason-Halpin Field House. The Saints, 8-7, hit 10-of-23 shots from behind the 3-point line. Rockhurst, 3-10, was held to two-of-13 3-point shooting.

The Saints, who led 30-26 at halftime, jumped out to a 46-33 lead midway through the second half. Rockhurst rallied to cut Maryville's lead to seven before the Saints went on a 10-2 run over three minutes. Maryville hit 15-of-18 at the foul line in the second half.

Kendall Hart led the Hawks with 13 points, 10 rebounds and three steals. Hart scored eight points in the first half to help give the Hawks a 20-12 lead. Allison Streich collected 11 points and seven rebounds. Laura Wilson posted a game-high four assists.

The Hawks outrebounded Maryville, 45-42, while scoring 20 second chance points. The Hawks, 1-5 in the GLVC, play at William Jewell on Monday at 1 p.m.
