Rosemary Wiggins was named head cheer coach at Rockhurst University in July 2026.

Wiggins brings nearly 20 years of coaching, teaching and student leadership experience to the Hawks. She has coached at both the high school and collegiate levels, building successful programs while emphasizing leadership, teamwork, sportsmanship and academic excellence.

Before joining Rockhurst, Wiggins served as head cheer coach at Grandview High School, where she oversaw all aspects of the program while also teaching science. She managed practices, coordinated game-day and competition performances, developed athletes' technical skills and promoted a culture built on character, integrity and accountability.

Prior to Grandview, Wiggins spent seven years as the varsity assistant cheer coach at Lee's Summit High School. During her tenure, she helped choreograph competition routines, implemented conditioning programs and played a key role in the team's first-place finish at the 2010 Summer Regional State Competition.

Wiggins also has collegiate coaching experience from Avila University, where she served as both a student assistant and assistant cheer coach. Her experience at the collegiate level has provided valuable insight into recruiting, athlete development and creating a positive student-athlete experience.

As head coach at Rockhurst, Wiggins oversees all aspects of the cheer program, including recruiting, practice planning, game-day performances, community engagement and the overall development of the program.
