Michael Calvin began working at Rockhurst University in 2020. He became the Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Performance and Head Athletic Trainer in 2022 after two years as an Assistant Athletic Trainer for Rockhurst University. Michael works primarily with the Rockhurst University Men’s Lacrosse, Cross Country, and Indoor/Outdoor Track and Field teams.
Michael was previously the Undergraduate Athletic Training Program Clinical Coordinator/Instructor at the University of Kansas, has worked as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at University of Missouri-Kansas City, and was the Athletic Trainer for Wichita South High School.
He earned his Master of Science in Kinesiology with a Sports Performance concentration from Louisiana Tech University. As a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer, he worked with the Louisiana Tech Football, Women’s Bowling, and Women’s Soccer teams. He also holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Athletic Training from the University of Kansas.
Calvin has been a certified athletic trainer since 2010. He is from Topeka, Kansas and lives in Prairie Village, Kansas, with his wife Sarah and two daughters Hallie and Collins.
