Dominique Washington brings several years of recreation management experience to Rockhurst. He served two years as the recreation director for the Kansas City Missouri Parks and Recreation and mostly recently was the recreation specialist and youth sports supervisor with the United Government-Wyandotte County Parks and Recreation.

A native of Kansas City, Missouri, Washington graduated with a degree in sport management at Rockhurst University in 2016. He played two seasons on the RU men’s basketball team from 2014-16. He also played one season at Avila University in 2017-18 while getting a master’s degree in management. Prior to his Rockhurst stint, he played at Kansas City Kansas Community College. He graduated from KCKCC with an associate’s degree in sport and exercise leadership.

Washington also worked for the Lawrence Parks and Recreation and Johnson County Parks and Recreation while working on his degrees at Rockhurst and Avila.
