Callie Knott started her freshman year at Rockhurst University in August 2026 as a Sports Photographer in the Athletic Communications department, bringing a strong background in sports media, visual design, and social media management. Â
Knott graduated from St. Dominic High School in May 2026, where she was heavily involved in the school's media programs. She spent three years on the yearbook staff, serving as Editor-in-Chief her senior year to direct overall production, page layouts, and photography coverage. In addition to yearbook, she was the layout editor for St. Dominic’s journalism program—earning the Journalism Department Award—produced weekly broadcast segments, ran live streams for varsity games, co-managed Temperantia House’s Instagram account, and launched a dedicated sports photography page to capture the personalities of the teams.Â
Her hard work and comprehensive coverage gained statewide recognition in June 2026, when she received the MSHSAA Sportsmanship Award for outstanding athletic media coverage.Â
At Rockhurst, Knott collaborates with the Athletic Communications team to handle game-day photography, create digital content, and showcase Hawk athletics.Â
She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Rockhurst University, proudly continuing a long family tradition as a multi-generation Hawk.Â
Outside of sports media, Knott loves spending time with friends, staying organized, and taking even more photos.
