Caitlin Himes, M.Ed, LAT, ATC

Caitlin Himes joined the Rockhurst University athletic training staff as an assistant athletic trainer in 2026. Himes comes to Rockhurst after spending the previous two seasons as an assistant athletic trainer at Wichita State University from 2024-26. Prior to Wichita State, she served as an assistant athletic trainer at Newman University from 2023-24 and Baker University from 2022-23.

Himes began her professional career at Missouri State University, where she worked as an intern athletic trainer from 2020-22. She earned her bachelor's degree in athletic training from Upper Iowa University in 2020 before completing her Master of Education in Education with an emphasis in School and Counseling Psychology, Positive Coaching and Athletic Leadership from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2022.

Himes holds Missouri and Kansas state athletic training licenses and is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association. She is also certified as an American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED instructor, Emergency Medical Technician-Basic, Sound Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization practitioner and Functional Movement Distortion practitioner.

A native of Tipton, Iowa, Himes was a four-year student-athlete at Upper Iowa University, competing in track and field from 2016-20. She earned NSIC All-Academic Team honors and was named to the NSIC All-Conference Team during her collegiate career.

Outside of athletic training, Himes enjoys reading, traveling, watching sports, working out, hiking with her dog, Sadie, and spending time with family and friends. She is engaged to her fiancée, Alyssa.
