Dance Highlights: I danced for 17 years at Rokita Dance Center. My freshman year at Rockhurst we got a bid to Nationals!
What Julie Loves About Rockhurst: It's a small school with an amazing group of people. RU has allowed me to experience opportunities that I wouldn't have gotten at a large university.
What Julie Loves About the Spirit Squad: The girls make my day every time I get to see them and the coaches are amazing individuals who care about us inside and outside of RU. I love learning to mesh cheer and dance as well as getting the opportunity to perform as a unit instead of two separate sports. Everyone’s attitude has made the transition of combining the two teams so seamless and we are able to rely on each other where we individually struggle. Our coaches’ enthusiasm and passion for this team sets them apart from any other organization I have been a part of, as well as their genuine, kind, and caring personalities.
