Suzie Muenz is in her fourth season as an assistant coach for the Hawks. She has coached softball for 12 years in the Kansas City area. She won 300 games in six years as the head coach of the Lightning competitive team in Blue Springs, Mo. She led her team to the 2013 USSSA 16A national championship with a 66-12 record. In 2012, her U15 team placed fifth at nationals with a 56-28 record.
Muenz graduated magna cum laude with a BA in business administration from William Jewell College. She was All-Conference and All-District in softball for four years while playing for Coach Galen Struve. She batted .428 and led the conference in extra-base hits in her senior season. She was also an All-American Scholar-Athlete at Jewell.
Muenz is married to Bob Muenz and they have two children, Nikki and Nathan.
