Rockhurst University Athletics

This is Megan Cairns's first season as assistant softball coach at Rockhurst.

Cairns worked as head coach at North Central Missouri College from 2012-2016, where their win total increased each year, highlighted by a 31-17 record in 2016. She coached 15 All-Region XVI Players and eight Academic All-Americans.

Cairns graduated from Evangel University with a Bachelor of Arts in International and Multicultural Studies. She was a two-time team captain of the softball team.

She received her Master of Science in Physical Education from Eastern New Mexico State where she worked as a graduate assistant softball coach.

Coach Cairns is involved in numerous leadership roles, including:

• National Fastpitch Coaches Association
• Women's Leadership Symposium
• President of Fellowship of Christian Athletes at Evangel University.
