Alexis Cates pushed Rockhurst past Lewis 2-1 on Saturday afternoon in Romeoville, Illinois. Rockhurst finished with an 18-9 advantage in shots and put 11 attempts on goal to Lewis' five.
Saturday's win is the fifth-straight for the Hawks (5-0-1, 3-0 GLVC), which is the longest winning streak since 2024. The Hawks also remain unbeaten after six matches, their best start to a season since 2019 when the Hawks began 7-0.
Leahy scored during the 42
nd minute to send Rockhurst into halftime with a 1-0 lead. The Flyers scored the equalizer in the 48
th minute to tie the game.
Kaitlyn Hobart's assist set up Cates' goal during the 68
th minute to put Rockhurst in front 2-1.
As a team, the Hawks recorded 18 shots with 11 on goal.
Jenna Roark led the Hawks with four shots (three on goal). Leahy and
Skylar Atienza both recorded three shots with two on goal.Â
Sydney Schnarr recorded four saves and has only allowed one goal in the last three matches combined.
