Lester's game-winning single lifts Hawks to 10th straight win

A McKenna Lester game-winning RBI-single gave Rockhurst a 4-3 win over Drury in nine innings on Sunday at Loyola Park. The Hawks are now on a 10-game winning streak, their longest since 2011.

Game two between Rockhurst and Drury was cancelled due to inclement weather.

Avery Huffman became the first pitcher in program history to record her 500th career strikeout. She won her 16th game and threw her 19th complete game of the season.
  • Lester (three), Emily Berry (two) and Mya Bristow (three) combined for eight hits. Berry and Bristow also tallied a double.
  • Taylor Sedam, Bristow and Kaylee Pugh (two) stole four combined bases.
  • Huffman allowed three earned runs on six hits and tied her season-high in strikeouts with 12.
