Rockhurst Softball fell to No. 23 Pittsburg State and No. 17 Central Oklahoma on Saturday at the Top Gun Midwest College Classic in Shawnee, Kansas.

Game 1: No. 23 Pittsburg State 13, Rockhurst 8 (8 inn.)

Rockhurst rallied by scoring two in the bottom of the sixth to take a 7-6 lead. Pittsburg State scored one in the seventh and six in the eighth. The Hawks added a run in the bottom of the eighth.

• Emma Reeves and Mya Bristow combined for two home runs (one each) and five RBI.
• Claire Long and McKenna Lester had two hits apiece.
• Emily Berry tallied an RBI as Emma Fulk stole a base.
• Riley Braden struck out 10 batters in seven innings pitched.

Game 2: No. 17 Central Oklahoma 4, Rockhurst 3

Long hit a two-run home run to give Rockhurst a 3-0 lead after the middle of the fourth inning. Central Oklahoma scored two in the bottom of the fourth and one in the bottom of the fifth.

• Lester recorded a hit, as Fulk and Reeves each stole a base.
• Izzy Carter and Fulk each scored runs.
• Avery Huffman recorded five strikeouts in six innings pitched.
