Hawks fall to Missouri Southern

Rockhurst Women's Soccer fell 2-1 to Missouri Southern on Sunday afternoon in Joplin, Missouri.

Sydney Schmidt scored the Rockhurst goal in the 27th minute to the lower right of the goal. Missouri Southern tied the match in the 37th minute.

The Lions later scored the game-winning goal in the 87th minute.

Anna Lantz led the Hawks with three shots (two on goal). Schmidt took an additional shot on goal in the 55th minute. Madison Mertzlufft recorded four saves.

Rockhurst recorded eight shots (four on goal).

The Hawks (1-1) face Davenport in St. Louis, Missouri on Thursday at 2 p.m.
