Hawks host Illinois Springfield, UIndy

Rockhurst Women's Soccer faces a pair of conference foes this weekend at Bourke Field. The Hawks faces Illinois Springfield Friday at 5 p.m. before a matchup against Indianapolis Sunday at noon.

Rockhurst (1-3-2, 0-2-1 GLVC) fell by 1-0 scores against Missouri-St. Louis on the road and 14th-ranked Maryville at home last weekend. 

In the UMSL match, goalkeeper Ally Moore recorded a career-high nine saves. This was the most by a Rockhurst goalkeeper in a match since Oct. 22, 2021, when Megan Meyers had 11 against Quincy.

Illinois Springfield (1-2-3, 0-1-2 GLVC) fell to Quincy 3-1 last Friday and tied 1-1 against Truman State last Sunday.

Rockhurst leads the all-time series, 14-2, and have won six of the last seven matches. The Hawks won 4-0 against the Prairie Stars last year.

Indianapolis (0-3-2, 0-2-1 GLVC) tied 1-1 against Upper Iowa last Friday and fell to Quincy 2-0 last Sunday. The Greyhounds play against William Jewell on Friday before facing Rockhurst.

Rockhurst has an 11-5-4 all-time series lead over Indianapolis and has won nine of the last 14 matches, including three ties. Last year, Rockhurst won the most recent matchup against the Greyhounds, 2-1.
