Hawks finish 14th in WGCA Academic Top 20 rankings

The Rockhurst University women's golf team finished 14th among Division II schools in the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) Top 25 GPA rankings with a cumulative grade point average of 3.765.

It marks the seventh year that Rockhurst has appeared in the Division II top 25 since the WGCA began posting team GPAs across each NCAA division in 2017-18. Rockhurst is one of three Great Lakes Valley Conference schools ranked in the Top 25.

Five members of the Rockhurst women's golf team were named to the All-American Scholar Team by the WGCA, which was the second highest number of honorees from the GLVC.

Seniors Jayden Berrey (Columbia, Mo.), Sarah Biscan (Wildwood, Mo.), Grace Claney (St. Louis, Mo.), and Caroline Giocondo (Kansas City, Mo.), and junior Celia Stilner (Springfield, Mo.) received All-American Scholar honors with a 3.50 or higher cumulative grade point average.

Berrey and Biscan earned their fourth academic honors from the WGCA. Stiltner received her second WGCA academic award.

In total, 1,499 collegiate golfers from all three division programs were recognized. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics.
