Women place eighth at GLVC Championship

Grace Claney tied for 23rd place

The Rockhurst women's golf team finished in eighth place at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship Saturday at the par-71 Oakwood Country Club in Coal Valley, Illinois.

The Hawks shot a 323 on the second day after opening with a 330 and 335 on the first day to finish with a 54-hole score of 988, 11 shots behind William Jewell.

Grace Claney tied for 23rd place with a 54-hole score of 243 to lead the Hawks. Claney shot an 81 and 78 on the first day and closed with an 82 in the final round.

Jayden Berrey tied for 29th place at 246, Caroline Giocondo tied for 34th at 248, and Sarah Biscan tied for 46th at 252.
