Hawks finish eighth at GLVC Championships

Avery Walz finished 14th in the 200 breaststroke

The Rockhurst women's swimming and diving team finished in eighth place with 500.5 points at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Swimming and Diving Championships on Saturday in Elkhart, Indiana.

On the final day of the GLVC Championships, the Hawks scored 124.5 points in five events.

Saturday Highlights:

Paige Sheridan scored 17 points with a 10th-place finish in the 1650-yard freestyle (17:33.14).
Laetitia Bouc came in 13th place in the 1650 freestyle (17:58.75).
Reese Moore placed 20th in the 100 freestyle (52.87).
Chiara Ambrosi finished 19th in the 200 backstroke (2:08.36).
Avery Walz placed 14th in the 200 breaststroke (2:23.42).
The relay team of Tauren Walz, Liza Engelbrecht, Avery Walz and Moore came in seventh place in the 400 freestyle relay (3:33.71).
Bouc, Sheridan, Ambrosi and Karsen Bennett finished 15th in the 400 freestyle relay (3:38.94).
