Hawks open road trip at Drury on Thursday

The Hawks' last win over Drury was on Feb. 2, 2021

The Rockhurst women's basketball team travels south this week for road games at Drury (Thursday, 5:45 p.m.) and Southwest Baptist (Saturday, 1 p.m.).

The Hawks (6-14, 4-10 GLVC) are coming off a 77-69 victory at William Jewell last Saturday. Keegan Sullivan posted a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds.

Drury (16-6, 12-3 GLVC) has lost two of its last three games. The Panthers fell at Quincy, 104-94, in double overtime last Saturday. Sophomore guard Rhi Gibbons leads Drury with a 14.7 scoring average.

The Panthers posted a 67-61 win earlier this season at Rockhurst. Drury has won their last eight meetings.

Southwest Baptist (8-13, 6-9 GLVC) has lost five of its last six games. Guard Amber Storr leads the Bearcats with a 13.3 scoring average.

Rockhurst defeated SBU 73-59 earlier this season at Mason-Halpin Field House. The Bearcats lead the all-time series, 7-6, going back to 2006.
