Balanced scoring carries Hawks to 71-45 win

Four players scored in double figures to lead Rockhurst to a 71-45 victory over Central Christian (Kansas) College Monday night at Mason-Halpin Field House.

Tori Miller led the Hawks with 15 points, eight rebounds and four steals. She connected on four-of-eight shots from the field and seven-of-13 from the foul line.

Ella Campbell scored 13 points while hitting three-of-nine 3-point field goals. Julia Wright and Kayla Reis each tallied 11 points and combined on five 3-pointers.

Rockhurst went on a 13-0 run to grab a 29-11 lead with 6:59 left in the second quarter. The Hawks outscored the Tigers 17-8 in the third quarter to take a 52-31 lead into the fourth quarter.

The Hawks (5-3) host Newman on Thursday, Dec. 18.
