Klapper leads Hawks at KC Crown Classic

The Rockhurst men's swimming and diving team finished in second place with 935 points at the KC Crown Classic Saturday in Topeka, Kansas.

Highlights:
  • Ian Klapper won the 100 breaststroke (54.04) and 200 breaststroke (1:58.45), in addition to placing fifth in the 200 individual medley (1:53.57).
  • Mohannad Nada finished second in the 100 breaststroke (54.39), second in the 200 breaststroke (2:00.21) and second in the 200 individual medley (1:49.68).
  • Omar Abla placed second in the 100 freestyle (45.15) and 200 freestyle (1:38.83), and second in the 200 individual medley (1:49.68).
  • Dakota Windsor won the 100 backstroke (50.54) and came in third in the 200 backstroke (1:50.48).
  • Palmer Keith placed second in the 400 individual medley (4:01.15) and fifth in the 200 breaststroke (2:06.72).
  • Tiago Deluca came in second in the 200 butterfly (1:51.34) and fourth in the 100 butterfly (50.41).
  • Alexandre Adum came in second in the 100 butterfly (49.75).
  • The Hawks won the 200, 400 and 400 freestyle relays, in addition to the 200 and 400 medley relays.
