The Rockhurst women's swimming and diving team opened the season with a 167-68 loss to Nebraska-Omaha in a dual meet Saturday in Omaha, Nebraska. Rockhurst recorded two first-place finishes, three seconds and five thirds.
Highlights: 

• Halle McCullough won the 100 breaststroke (1:06.02) and came in third in the 200 individual medley (2:13.11).
• Tauren Walz came in second in the 100 butterfly (59.95).
• Avery Walz finished second in the 100 breaststroke (1:09.89).
• Paige Sheridan placed third in the 1,000 freestyle (10:56.13).
• The relay team of Liza Engelbrecht, Reese Moore, Tauren Walz and Karsen Bennett won the 200 freestyle relay (1:41.71).
• Hughbanks, Sheridan, Anna Vicent Serrano and Yara Elkoush placed second in the 200 freestyle relay (1:46.0).
• Ava Hughbanks came in third in the 100 backstroke (1:01.73).
• Alynah Tran took third in the 100 breaststroke (1:11.85).
• Hughbanks, McCullough, Engelbrecht and Avery Walz placed third in the 400 medley relay (4:03.85).
