Nada leads Hawks in season-opening dual in Omaha

The Rockhurst men's swimming and diving team opened the season with a 159-79 loss to Nebraska-Omaha in a dual meet Saturday in Omaha, Nebraska. Rockhurst recorded two first-place finishes, six seconds and five thirds.

Highlights:
  • Mohannad Nada won the 100 breaststroke (58.06) and fourth in the 200 individual medley (1:57.85).
  • Omar Mohsen came in second in the 100 freestyle (59.95) and third in the 200 freestyle (2:00.12).
  • Jack Powell finished second in the 1,000 freestyle (1:09.89) and third in the 500 freestyle (2:00.44).
  • Omar Abla placed second in the 100 freestyle (1:56.13).
  • The relay team of Mohsen, Abla, Preston Hoang and Tiago Deluca won the 200 freestyle relay (1:24.79).
  • Ben Chumley, Cabot Murawski, Brady Hopkins and Palmer Keith placed second in the 200 freestyle relay (1:32.48).
  • Dakota Windsor came in third in the 100 backstroke (52.91).
  • Tiago Deluca came in third in the 100 butterfly (51.16)
  • Ian Klapper and Palmer Keith took second (58.70) and third (1:02.89) in the 100 breaststroke.
  • Windsor, Nada, Deluca and Abla placed second in the 400 medley relay (3:25.75).
