Rockhurst earns 17 Team Academic All-GLVC honors

Women's Cross Country posted a school-best 3.80 team GPA in 2023-24

Seventeen of Rockhurst's 19 athletic teams earned the 2023-24 Team Academic All-GLVC Award. The GLVC recognizes each team from member institutions that have maintained a 3.30 grade point average for the academic year.

The total of 182 honorees from 14 full-time and three associate member schools did not reach the 2019-20 record-breaking total of 207 from 15 schools but did surpass last year's mark of 161 from 13 schools.

Rockhurst, Lewis and William Jewell had the highest number of sports meeting the distinguished 3.30 standard this year with 17. Eleven GLVC members either maintained or increased their totals from a year ago, and, of the 182 honored programs, 120 came from women's sports with 62 from the men's side.

The Hawks were led by their women's cross country team with a 3.80 GPA, followed by women's soccer with a 3.79 GPA. The other 15 Rockhurst teams to receive the award were women's golf (3.77), women's volleyball (3.76), softball (3.74), women's swimming & diving (3.73), women's track & field (3.72), men's cross country (3.70), women's basketball (3.63), women's lacrosse (3.62), men's track & field (3.57), men's golf (3.56), men's soccer (3.52), women's tennis (3.50), baseball (3.36), men's lacrosse (3.36), and men's tennis (3.34).

Rockhurst posted the highest team GPA in the GLVC in women's soccer, softball, women's swimming and diving, women's track and field, and men's cross country. Women's golf tied for the highest GPA. The women's cross country team posted the second highest team GPA in their respective sport in the GLVC. Volleyball tied for the second highest team GPA among all teams in the GLVC.
