Hawks capture second straight KC Crown

The Hawks were awarded the KC Crown Monday at the Fr. Freeman Rockhurst Cup

Rockhurst captured the Kansas City Crown trophy over William Jewell for the second year in a row. The Hawks received the trophy at Monday's Fr. Joseph M. Freeman, S.J., Rockhurst Cup at the Nicklaus Golf Club at LionsGate in Overland Park, Kansas.

Rockhurst edged Jewell, 14-11, in the final point standings. The Hawks outscored the Cardinals, 8-5, in the 11 women's sports. The two schools split their 12 points in the 10 men's sports.

In September 2022, the two cross-town rivals announced the start of a new tradition, the KC Crown, a yearlong competition in which the school with the best record in head-to-head competition across all sports would take home the KC Crown trophy.
