The Rockhurst men's swimming and diving team defeated Nebraska-Omaha (148-124) and Midland University (174-97) at the Midland Triangular on Saturday in Fremont, Nebraska. Omaha posted a 176-103 win over Rockhurst on Friday in Omaha.
Saturday vs. Nebraska-Omaha and Midland
Omar Mohsen won the 1000 freestyle and the 500 freestyle, while Omar Abla won the 200 freestyle.
Adam Hamdy won three events on Saturday. He took first place in the 50 and 100 freestyle, and the 100 butterfly.
JJ Davis won the one-meter diving, while Mohannad Nada won the 100 breaststroke and the 200 individual medley.
Nada took second in the 100 breaststroke and Ali Usama finished second in the 100 backstroke. Ian Klapper finished third in the 200 breaststroke.
Rockhurst won the 400 medley relay with the team of Usama, Nada, Alexandre Adum and Abla. The Hawks also took home the 200 freestyle relay with Usama, Abla, Preston Hoang and Hamdy.
Friday vs. Nebraska-Omaha
Nada won three events: 50 breaststroke, 100 breaststroke and the 200 individual medley. Hamdy picked up wins in the 50 and 100 butterfly events.
Mohsen picked up a win in the 200 freestyle and finished second in the 500 freestyle.
Klapper was second in the 100 breaststroke and third in the 50 breaststroke. Usama placed second in the 50 and 100 backstroke.
Abla finished second in the 100 freestyle and Jacob Clink placed third in the 500 freestyle.
The team of Usama, Nada, Hamdy and Adum finished second in the 200 medley relay and the team of Hamdy, Mohsen, Abla and Adum finished third in the 400 freestyle relay.
