RU women to host William Jewell

The Hawks return to the pitch on Sunday to face William Jewell
The Rockhurst women's soccer team returns to the pitch on Sunday, as they face intra-city rival William Jewell in a KC Crown matchup at noon at Bourke Field.

Rockhurst (8-5, 6-3 GLVC) went 1-1 last weekend on the road. Last Friday, the Hawks defeated Truman State 2-0 in Kirksville, Missouri with goals from Jacie Tottleben and Anna Lantz. Last Sunday, the Hawks fell 3-1 at Quincy.

Last week, the Cardinals (3-7-1, 2-5-1 GLVC) had one match, tying Truman State 1-1 last Sunday. William Jewell faces Southwest Baptist on Friday evening before playing the Hawks on Sunday afternoon.

Rockhurst is 11-2 all-time against William Jewell, dating back to 2011. The Hawks are currently on an eight-match winning streak against the Cardinals, winning each contest since 2016. Most recently, Rockhurst defeated William Jewell 8-0 at Bourke Field on Oct. 27, 2023.
