Hawks finish ninth at Midwest Classic

Grace Claney tied for 24th place

The Rockhurst women's golf team finished in ninth place at the Midwest Classic Tuesday at the Mozingo Lake Golf Course in Maryville, Missouri.

The Hawks shot a 346 on the second day to finish with a 36-hole score of 673. Central Missouri won the team title at 624.

Caroline Giocondo tied for 20th place with a 36-hole score of 163 to lead the Hawks. Giocondo shot a 76 in the first round on Monday, including shooting a 36 on the back nine.

Grace Claney tied for 24th place at 165 and Jayden Berrey tied for 32nd at 170. Celia Stiltner and Sarah Biscan tied for 49th at 177. Charley Strahm finished 68th at 191.
