Hawks post 2-0 victory over Missouri S&T

Anna Lantz and Jacie Tottleben scored first-half goals to lead the Rockhurst women's soccer team to a 2-0 victory over Missouri S&T Friday night at Bourke Field.

Lantz connected on a penalty kick in the 30th minute after the Miners were called for a handball foul in the box.

Tottleben added the second goal on a four-yard shot into the back right of the goal. Greta Seal set up the goal on a cross that rebounded off the Miner keeper.

Rockhurst outshot the Miners, 20-3. The Hawks had 10 shots in both halves.

Lantz led the Hawks with six shots and two shots on goal. Elle Kimball and Patti Ehrnman each posted three shots. Caitlyn Smith added two shots. Taylor James finished with one save.

Rockhurst (4-3-2, 2-2-1 GLVC) hosts Maryville on Sunday at noon.
