UMSL ends Hawks' run in GLVC Tournament

A quick start by Missouri-St. Louis was too much for Rockhurst to overcome in falling to the Tritons, 8-2, in an elimination game Saturday in the GLVC Softball Tournament in East Peoria, Illinois. UMSL scored six runs in the first inning after being shut out by the Hawks on Thursday.
  • The Hawks finished the season with a 21-26 record.
  • Calli Wibbenmeyer singled home RU's first run in the third.
  • Riley McGovern walked and drove in a run with a sacrifice fly in the fifth.
  • Anna Newcomer allowed four runs on six hits over 5.1 innings in relief of starter BreAnna Droge.
