The Rockhurst softball team combined for 20 runs while finishing with a 1-4 record at the Washburn Invitational in Topeka, Kansas last weekend.

Game One: Nebraska Kearney 6, RU 4
The Lopers were held scoreless after the fourth inning as the Hawks rallied from a 6-0 deficit.

• Junior right-hander Anna Newcomer allowed two hits over 3.0 innings. 
• Lauren Good led the Hawks with two runs. 
• Clare Reinhart singled home Good in the sixth.

Game Two: RU 6, Newman 3
Rockhurst struck first in the third, scoring three runs grab a 3-0 lead. Rockhurst added three more runs in the fifth.  

• Jayla Pierce hit a two-run home run to right field in the fifth. 
• Gwen Bostick and Maya Gallagher combined for two runs and two RBIs.  
• Bre Barchak allowed two runs on five hits over 5.0 innings.

Game Three: Fort Hays State 2, RU 0
Fort Hays State recorded its third straight shutout overall behind the pitching of Savannah Egger.  

• Alexis Enslinger had two of the Hawks' five hits.
• RU's Avery Huffman struck out two in 5.1 innings.

Game Four: St. Cloud State 9, RU 3
St. Cloud jumped out to a 6-1 lead in the fourth before the Hawks scored two runs in the fifth.

• Jayla Pierce posted two hits and 2 RBIs.
• Gwen Bostick drove home Maya Gallagher on an RBI groundout in the first.  
• RU's Anna Stephen allowed five runs on six hits over 4.1 innings.

Game 5: NW Missouri State 12, RU 7
The Bearcats scored eight runs in the third on the way to posting 18 hits off three RU pitchers.

• Maya Gallagher and Lauren Good each homered in the fifth.
• Gallagher and Good combined for three runs, two hits and five RBIs.
• Riley McGovern added an RBI double in the sixth.
