Hawks wrap up fall schedule at Missouri S&T

Omar Abla won the 200 freestyle

Rockhurst's swimming and diving team wrapped up its fall schedule with a double dual meet with Missouri-St. Louis and Missouri S&T Friday in Rolla, Missouri. UMSL defeated Rockhurst 118-94 and fell short against S&T, 116-95.

The Hawks' individual wins came from Omar Abla in the 200 freestyle (1:43.42) and Ali Usama in the 50 freestyle (21.28).

The Hawks' team of Abla, Omar Mohsen, Adam Hamdy and Alexandre Adum also picked up a win in the 400 freestyle relay. Rockhurst's 400 medley relay team of Usama, Mohannad Nada, Adum and Hamdy finished second behind Missouri S&T.

Mohsen took second in the 500 and 1,000 freestyle races. Also finishing in second place were Adum in the 200 butterfly and Nada in the 200 breaststroke.

Third-place finishes were recorded by Usama in the 200 backstroke, Nada in the 200 individual medley and Hamdy in the 100 freestyle. Abla added a fourth place in the 500 freestyle.
