The Rockhurst Hawks will meet McKendree in the first round of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women's Soccer Tournament at noon Sunday in Lebanon, Illinois.

Rockhurst (8-5-3, 6-4-3 GLVC) is the No. 7 seed, while McKendree (13-1-3, 9-1-3 GLVC) is the No. 2 seed.

The Hawks will be making their 17th appearance in the GLVC Tournament under coach Greg Herdlick. Rockhurst captured the 2018 GLVC Tournament championship as a No. 7 seed with a 1-0 overtime victory over fifth-seeded Bellarmine.

Sophomore forward Anna Lantz leads the GLVC with 28 points on 11 goals and six assists. Junior goalkeeper Taylor James ranks third in the GLVC with eight shutouts.

Rockhurst won their earlier meeting with the Bearcats in Kansas City, 2-0, back on Sept. 15. The Hawks lead the series, 7-6-1.

The winner of the quarterfinal contest will advance to play in the semifinals Friday, Nov. 10, in East Peoria, Illinois.
